Energy Efficiency Workshop “Engaging Our Youth on Energy Efficiency” - March 8, 2017

 

On Wednesday, March 8, 2017 OPC Community Outreach Specialist Denise E. Blackson presented an Energy Efficiency Workshop “Engaging Our Youth on Energy Efficiency” at the FBR Branch Boys and Girls Club @THEARC located at 1901 Mississippi Ave. SE in Washington DC. To educate the youth on energy efficiency.

Ms. Blackson engaged the youth through teaching hands-on energy efficiency practices with verbal interaction using children’s educational coloring and activity books developed for their scholastic level. The youth in this group were third graders in the afterschool program at the FBR Branch.

These third graders students were enthusiastic participants in the question and answer segment of the workshop.  

Two students won energy efficiency night lights for answering questions related to the content of the workshop.
