Hands-on Energy Efficiency Workshop, "Keeping It Simple and Practical"

On Tuesday, June 20, 2017, OPC Community Outreach Specialist Denise E. Blackson presented a “Hands-on Energy Efficiency Workshop, “Keeping It Simple and Practical” to the Fairlawn Citizens Association located at the Anacostia Neighborhood Public Library, 1800 Good Hope Road SE in the Ora Glover Community Room in Washington, DC.

Ms. Blackson shared simple and practical energy efficiency tips that consumers can use in their homes. The consumers were very engaged and found the workshop to be informative. Ms. Blackson also provided information on energy efficiency programs available through District government, explained how OPC works on behalf of utility ratepayers to resolve utility issues and described OPC’s different energy efficiency outreach programs to the more than 30 consumers in attendance.
