OPC staff, brought consumers up to date on OPCs mission as their consumer advocate, the availability of the multi-lingual interpretative services To assist in registering complaints. Consumers asked about how the PSC regulates the utility companies, and whether the PSC should give greater weight to the consumer advocate before considering approval of a merger request? How often a utility company may request a rate increase, and about the availability of printed materials including the OPC Third Party Supplier guide?

On February 8, 2018 – OPC Consumer Services staff attended the “Black History Month Celebration” hosted by the Executive Office of the Mayor Office on African Affairs and the Whoolly Mammoth Theatre Company located at 641 D Street, N.W., Washington, DC 20004 (Ward 2).
OPC staff, provided our Multi-lingual rack cards in Amharic, French, Spanish and English at MOAA’s community outreach exhibit table for dissemination.
