4th Annual Senior Health Fair

On September 15, 2017, OPC Consumer Services staff attended the Vida Senior Center at Brightwood, “4th Annual Senior Health Fair” –  at the Vida Brightwood Nutrition Center” 1330 Missouri Avenue, N.W., Washington, DC  20011- (Ward 4).  Sponsored by the District of Columbia Office on Aging, Mayor’s Office on Latino Affairs (MOLA), United Planning Organization (UPO), and Vida Senior Centers, the community-wide health fair for seniors provided many exhibitors to help raise awareness of services that promote healthier lifestyles and community involvement.  

OPC outreach specialist Silvia Garrick spoke with attendees providing fliers on OPC services including the newly “A Consumer’s Guide to Third Party Suppliers,” and OPC’s multilingual rack cards in English and Spanish before joining other members of staff for the “OPC’s Parking Day” community engagement at a parking reserved spot across from the Frank D. Reeves Municipal Center at 14th and U Street, N.W.,
